New Look, New Services for Roman Public Health Consulting
I’m excited to share with you what has been a long time coming. I have wanted to rebrand for quite a while, but with coming back from parental leave, navigating a pandemic, and unexpectedly homeschooling- it had to wait!
Pre-pandemic I started thinking about shifting my consulting work to focus on e-learning (who knew it would become an essential service in 2020?!) In June 2021, I completed a nine month certificate program in e-learning instructional design through the University of Washington. The program gave me wonderful academic and practical training to supplement my experience in training and technical assistance, health education, and e-learning consulting projects.
Now I just needed a new brand identity that matched the new direction for my business. Enter Rachel Schenck from RS Creative & Design. She created the new logo that I’m excited to launch today.
The design is meaningful in several ways:
(1) I want to work on projects at the intersection of public health and e-learning. The interlocking shapes show how I bring those topics together to work at the center.
(2) I want to continue to be a consultant who collaborates with clients and respects the knowledge and experience they bring to the table. I never want to be someone who steps in from the outside and pushes my opinion on the people doing the hard work. So I also think the interlocking shapes demonstrate how I lock arms with my clients and we work together.
(3) After I selected this logo, my husband pointed out one additional meaning. I am often affectionately referred to as a “connector” in public health. I love introducing people who I think need to know each other in our public health community. One of my favorite things is meeting fellow consultants through hosting my networking group. So it seems quite fitting that my logo focuses on connection.
I invite you to visit my new website to see my updated service list. My mission is to help public health organizations design effective e-learning solutions and I’m offering a few different ways to make that happen. Clients can contact me just to pick my brain about their e-learning project, or I can be more hands on to review existing courses or lead the design of new courses.
I hope that you’ll contact me with any questions and share my services with colleagues and friends who may be interested in collaboration.
I’d love to hear from you!
Since March 2020, have you or your organization leaned more heavily on e-learning? If so, what challenges and opportunities have you experienced?
