Last year, my blog readers and LinkedIn connections shared that they really enjoyed my post on reflections and planning for the upcoming year, so I’m happy to make it an annual feature on the blog.

Happy December! It’s hard to believe, but it’s time for the last RPH blog for 2024.

As I’m reflecting and planning for 2025, I’ve made note of three big wins for my business in the past year: launching retainer contracts, hiring more subcontractors, and hiring a project coordinator.

I was a huge fan and regular listener to her first pocast (The Biz Chix Podcast), so it was an honor to be invited as a guest early on in the launch of her new podcast! We discussed the changes in my business once I niched and specialized in e-learning instructional design for public health organizations.

Najera, MPH, DrPH was kind enough to invite me and Dr. Andrea Mantsios onto the College of Physicians of Philadelphia- Philly Public Health Chats podcast to discuss the role of independent consultants in our field.

One of my favorite annual traditions since I started my business is to have myself a little end of year “retreat” to review the past year. I block the week from meetings. I put on my out of office and focus exclusively on my business (i.e., I do zero client work). And yay- I get to stand in front of my big white board :)

As we start 2024, I thought readers would be interested in both my process and some of the findings that emerged from this retreat that you can expect to see reflected in what I share and work on this year.

I’m excited to share with you what has been a long time coming. I have wanted to rebrand for quite a while, but with coming back from parental leave, navigating a pandemic, and unexpectedly homeschooling- it had to wait!

Today I’m sharing my new logo, the meaning behind it, and my updated list of services. Behind everything I do is a mission to help public health organizations design effective e-learning solutions.
