Description:
This is a free virtual networking group for established self-employed public health consultants and entrepreneurs that is administered by Roman Public Health Consulting LLC.
The space provides a private venue to discuss the nuts and bolts of being a consultant and running a business (e.g., developing contracts, managing clients, etc.) as well as a place to share ideas about consulting services, professional development, marketing, technology, and job/collaboration opportunities.
(2) What are the eligibility requirements?
Self-employed public health professionals (*part-time or full-time self-employment is acceptable)
*Members must be established business owners. Public health professionals just thinking about consulting do not meet the eligibility criteria for this networking group.
“Public health entrepreneurs” include but are not limited to: consultants, freelance writers, grant writers, public health dietitians, program evaluators, online course developers, trainers and meeting facilitators, podcasters, bloggers, and health coaches*.
*Health coaches with formal education, training, and certification in public health and health education will be considered. “Coaches” or “wellness educators” who sell products for multi-level marketing companies do not meet the eligibility criteria for this networking group.
This group is open to all public health entrepreneurs, regardless of location.
(3) How can I request to join?

Complete the online screening questions that pop up when you request to join:
(1) Are you a self-employed public health professional? (Full or part-time is acceptable)
(2) What is the name of your public health business? (An established business is required for membership)
(3) Please put the link to your business and/or LinkedIn account below.
(4) What are the group rules?
PRIVACY is the #1 priority in this group so that members feel safe to post and respond to questions. Group members are not permitted to screenshot conversations and post elsewhere. They are also not permitted to disclose information about particular consultants or clients that they learn in this group. Privacy violations will not be tolerated and group members may be removed without warning if there is evidence of this behavior.
Please do not bombard members with posts about your products and services. You will have the opportunity to share all about your business when you first join. In addition, the admin will open MONTHLY discussion threads that allow self-promotion (e.g., sharing new websites/services/podcasts/etc.) These threads will open on the first day of each month.
(5) What else should I know?
We encourage members to be ACTIVE participants- please initiate posts and comment on those of your fellow members as relevant.
IMPORTANT: Turn on group/post notifications to ensure you are seeing all the valuable conversation in this group. With the current Facebook algorithm, posts do not always show up in members’ newsfeeds.
