Roman Public Health Consulting: 2024 Reflections and 2025 Planning
Last year, my blog readers and LinkedIn connections shared that they really enjoyed my post on reflections and planning for the upcoming year, so I’m happy to make it an annual feature on the blog.
Three Big Roman Public Health Consulting Wins in 2024
Happy December! It’s hard to believe, but it’s time for the last RPH blog for 2024.
As I’m reflecting and planning for 2025, I’ve made note of three big wins for my business in the past year: launching retainer contracts, hiring more subcontractors, and hiring a project coordinator.
What’s The Difference Between Retainer-Based and Project-Based Public Health Instructional Design Services?
Last week I was chatting with a client about my hands on instructional design services and they asked me: “What kinds of projects work better as retainer vs. project or deliverable-based contracts?”
Great question! In today’s blog post, we’ll define each type of agreement, project examples, and client benefits.
Why You Should Pick My Brain About Your Next Public Health E-Learning Project
One of my favorite ways to work with clients is through “Pick My Brain” strategy sessions. These offer clients a quick, low commitment, and affordable option to get support for an e-learning instructional design project.
A Public Health Course Audit: What It Is and Why You Should Get One
An audit is defined as “a methodical examination and review.” And this is exactly what I can do for you when you have an e-learning course, whether it is already live or still in development.
Conducting course audits is one of my favorite consulting services. I love getting to learn from my clients about so many interesting public health topics (yes, I take every course that I review!), celebrating the parts of the course that are strong, and identifying the content and/or design features that can be strengthened.
In today’s blog post, I answer FAQs about my audit service.
Roman Public Health Consulting: 2023 Reflections and 2024 Planning
One of my favorite annual traditions since I started my business is to have myself a little end of year “retreat” to review the past year. I block the week from meetings. I put on my out of office and focus exclusively on my business (i.e., I do zero client work). And yay- I get to stand in front of my big white board :)
As we start 2024, I thought readers would be interested in both my process and some of the findings that emerged from this retreat that you can expect to see reflected in what I share and work on this year.
