How RPH Consulting Can Support Public Health Professionals in 2021

Happy New Year! I loved putting together the most popular blog posts for 2020, it gives me great ideas to build on this year.

I wanted to start January by sharing all the different ways I can support you in 2021.

(1) Free Content & Resources

Blog

I will continue with biweekly blog posts this year. I like to mix up the type of posts, so you’ll see “how to” topics (e.g., Public Health Consulting: How Much Should I Charge? is my most popular post of all time), monthly spotlights where I interview a public health consultant or entrepreneur to share their career path and advice for aspiring consultants, and insightful guest posts on everything from expanding your business to getting started with social media.

Newsletter

I send out a monthly newsletter. Subscribers receive links to consulting opportunities, resources to help build their careers/businesses, and receive early access and discounts on my products and services.

Instagram

If you haven’t already, I’d love for you to give me a follow over on Instagram. Through posts, stories, and reels, I provide lots of free tips about public health consulting and e-Learning for public health (my area of interest!). I also share lots of behind the scenes looks at my day to day running the business + caring for and teaching my children.

Networking Group- Established Consultants

Since 2014, I have led a free networking group for established public health consultants and entrepreneurs. I am proud to share that the group has grown to 125+ members. Most members are located in the United States, but we do have representation from consultants around the world. This FAQ on my website details the membership criteria and instructions to join. Members must have an established business and be actively taking clients (i.e., this is not a group for people just thinking about consulting). This is an incredibly collaborative group: we share consulting opportunities, collaborate on RFPs and projects, and have regular networking threads.

(2) Paid Services

If you enjoy my open access resources and want to work with me in a group or individually, here are all the ways we can collaborate:

Strategy Sessions

I am receiving more requests for 1-1 support, so I have created strategy sessions. These are by request only (i.e., they aren’t listed on my website yet). You can access the interest form here. These are great if you want to “pick my brain” about your specific situation (e.g., networking challenges, thinking about consulting, finding your niche, etc.)

Online Courses

(1) “Contemplating Consulting: A readiness guide to help public health professionals decide to hit the brakes or take the leap” is a two hour self-paced 101-level course designed to answer the most frequently asked questions I get about consulting (e.g., What do consultants actually do? How do you find clients? How do I know if consulting is a good fit for me?”) and help you identify specific action steps to launch a business. The course is filled with 15 video lessons and a 10 page readiness assessment workbook. Bonus: This course is approved for CHES/CPH Continuing Education Contact Hours. These hours are available at no extra charge beyond the cost of the course.

(2) I’m in the process of developing a new course for public health professionals that will focus on effective online networking. I am collecting feedback about specific needs and questions public health professionals have on this topic (and also recruiting some pilot testers). Please share your feedback here!

I hope we will have the opportunity to connect and collaborate in 2021. If you have questions about my resources and services and/or want to suggest topics for me to address on the blog, please contact me anytime!
